Cherrydale fundraiser 3-17th

10th Author Assembly – Elizabeth Shreeve

Book fair 20-24th – profits are distributed between the teachers
October
v
30th Halloween carnival – games, refreshments, haunted house, fancy dress contest.
Games are 25c-$1. Participating teachers run booths along with parent volunteers from their
class and get a share of the profits made at the carnival.

Cookie dough fundraiser begins 28th.
November
v
Turkey trot – Run by Mrs. E and sponsored by the PTA. School wide race with each boy and
girl winner from each grade winning a turkey and second place winning a pie – 23rd.
v
Sponsorship of Bengal Tiger voted for by students.
v
Box Tops Carnival – carnival games at school during lunch recess costing two box
tops for each game. Prizes for every game – 18 & 19th.
December
v
Holiday bazaar 6-9th – seasonal gifts for sale for the students to purchase for their family,
between 25c-$5. Donations of gifts are always welcome.
v
Gift book given to each student by the PTA – 17th.
January

Assembly – Portable Planetarium – 20th
v
Shrek 2 Movie Night – 21st.
February

Crab Feed – 5th

Special Persons Dance – 25th.
March

Box tops carnival – 24 & 25th.

Assembly – NASA – 1st.

Monday Math Fest – 14th.

Chuck E Cheese Fun Night – 16th.

Incredibles Movie Night – 18th.

Book fair 10-15th - profits given to the school libraries.

Grandparents day 15th – students bring in their special grandperson for part
of the school day and enjoy either a BBQ lunch or sandwiches.

Assembly – Wildlife.

Walkathon – 21 & 22nd.

Secretaries Day – 27th.
May
v
Teacher appreciation week – students are encouraged to do things that show their
appreciation for the teachers. The teachers are given a luncheon on one day.

Bingo night – fun and free evening
for the students and parents. Prizes to be won – 20th.
v
Box tops carnival.
v
Assembly – H2O Yeah.
June
v
Splash day run by Mrs. E sponsored by the PTA. Lots of water games.
